The cooling water process begins when intake stations pump water from the river. Further pumps move water through the cooling coils, taking out the heat from the turbine before being pumped back into the river.
Bedford Pumps have made many installations into this market dating all the way back to their W H Allen days. Whilst we do not have the number of power stations that we used to in the UK, we have many pump installations in this field worldwide.
The typical pump for this type of installation would be our axial bowl pumps in either a standard or submersible variant.
